Amazon’s Media team is looking for a bright, customer obsessed, driven, and creative candidate to join our team. The role will be based in Milan. This Brand Specialist will engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize the product line for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon. Brand Specialists will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as site merchandising, buying, inventory management, finance, operations and online marketing, to drive the performance of strategic vendor partners at Amazon.

Brand Specialists will conceive, create and analyze a wide range of marketing and site merchandising efforts, to include marketing campaigns, search engine optimization (SEO) efforts, social media and other channels, to grow the vendor’s traffic, brand awareness and customer conversion on Amazon. This role will autonomously negotiate promotional opportunities for vendors and create comprehensive marketing proposals. Strong writing skills are critical, as Brand Specialists will schedule, produce, update and manage content on Amazon’s product detail and category pages, to ensure a high quality customer experience.

In addition to site merchandising and marketing, this role is responsible for inventory management, forecast generation, new product launches, and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive the vendor’s business. In essence, Brand Specialists act as the general manager and own a vendor’s business on Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful relationship management.
  • Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Experience with presentation, organization, and/or account management
  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
  • A track record of proven success in past positions
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience doing one of several roles: quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing or e-commerce.
  • The ability to quickly learn a varied set of software and editing tools (including HTML, Excel and SQL) is necessary, and 1-2 years prior experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience with presentation, organization, and account/vendor management is preferred.
